The Fab Four - The Ultimate Tribute Anaheim Concert reviews
Great "The Fab Four" Show at Saban Theater - January 2022
I think this is the 4th or 5th time I've seen The Fab Four and they're better than ever!! (and I've enjoyed them every time I've seen them). I really enjoy their faithful re-creation of the Beatles' music, look, and feeling. I also enjoyed the humorous moments these guys have within their roles --- like Paul's reaction to George "stealing the show" with his little dance steps. Their interaction with audience is great with their professional and effective announcements, impromptu reactions to the crowd, and getting everybody to sing along, clap certain rhythms, get up and dance, and SCREAM! (here and there in those famous moments). Their (live) keyboard performances of extremely complex arrangements on songs like "Strawberry Fields", "A Day in the Life", and "Got to Get You Into My Life" are really incredible! "Yesterday" was sung expertly and the (keyboard) string-quartet backing was perfect. In this show they stuck to the big hits but I've seen them do lesser-known songs like "Anna" and "I Want Tell You" and others. Their use of all the various guitars, Gretch, Rickenbacker, Gibson acoustic, Epiphone, Stratocaster, Les Paul and the Hofner and Rickenbacker basses was fun to see/hear and their capturing of the character of all the different vocals (lead and harmonies) was great! The drumming is excellent(!) and the added percussion parts of maracas, tambourine, (and 2nd-man floor-tom drumming in one spot) are small but important additions. The film montage of 'everyday people' on the street in England singing their personal versions of Beatles songs was really special. I recommend this fun Fab Four show to everyone who likes the Beatles or wants to know what they're all about. --- I know I'll be seeing them again myself when they're playing near me again, hopefully sometime soon!
